Ruth is so knowledgeable and always up to help. Her knowledge on building materials is unparalleled. We recently requested a swept path analysis for a planning application which was key to obtaining permission. Will happily recommend Ruth for any of her services

We have around 25 bricks on the front of our 1960’s-built house that where the face has either fallen off or is loose and about to fall off. I intended to seek a remedy but somehow never got around to it. From a chance meeting with Ruth of Peak Project Solutions, it was suggested a textured tinted colour match solution would be what I needed and so I provided some photographs and awaited a proposal. Although this was a relatively small job, I was impressed to receive a very detailed proposal setting out the various steps which conveyed a professional approach from what appeared to be an expert in this field. It was a two-day process and Paul arrived promptly on day 1, and mentioned that there would be three steps; removal of loose facing, filling and leaving to set, and trimming back / cleaning up Paul thoroughly removed all the loose facing pieces to create a good basis for the filling. At this stage I was expecting to get a sample panel to review which in the event didn’t happen and before I knew if the filling had progressed. Fortunately, it was a very good colour match… Paul was very pleasant around the house; the operation makes quite a mess, but he tidied up thoroughly afterwards and I was very pleased with the result. In terms of the finished appearance, I commented that the only area that could possibly have been improved would be the surface finish – our bricks have a textured surface finish and if it would have been good to create something of that ilk on the repairs that would have added to the finished job – but I don’t know if this would have been possible? Ruth and Paul had obviously put their heads together on this and a return trip was arranged where Paul carried out a further operation to create a part distressed face on the bricks which sets things off perfectly. All round a very good service; a detailed proposal conveying expertise in the field, a highly skilled installer who was a pleasure around the house, and a company that listens to comments and is prepared to put themselves out to add that extra touch that makes a difference. Highly recommended. Steve Brown Retired Chartered Surveyor Burton Joyce, Nottingham
